- Drove Caden to Rockland to drop him off with Scott. Stopped at Dunkin's for breakfast and headed into work. Traffic was bad for a Friday morning, so I got to work 15 minutes late.
- Got into the office, caught up with co-workers, logged on to my computer, and prepared for a meeting with the Museum' CEO, which went form 10:30 to 11:30, discussing working relationships with other departments and the "state-of-the-brand."
- Got back to my desk and discussed changes for the next steps on Sparks with the team.
- Listened to my messages and then Jess, the Managing Editor, and I headed down stairs to the Membership department to review some printer's proofs for a direct mail project. Met with the point person on that for about a half hour and then came back up to the office to get our money to grab lunch (we should have grabbed the money before going off to the meeting).
- Headed down to the café and got lunch and then came back up stairs and at with Jessica, as we're the only ones left in the office today, and chatted about babies.
- 1:15: Finished lunch and catching up on email before diving into the projects that need to be done today.
- 2:00: I lost 45 minutes...
- Saw on Facebook that my brother-in-law is expecting his first son to be born tomorrow. Called Scott to give him the update.
- Chatted with a co-worker via IM who is at home today.
- Sent "The Science Behind..." images to client.
- Lost another 15 minutes...that seems to happen when there is only two of us in the office...
- Consulted with the VP of Operations on a new sign for the café and then chatted with him about his son who is close in age to Walker.
- Got a call from Scott to tell me to pick up milk and trash bags on the way home AND to tell me how much of a terror Caden is.
- Finished laying out the Info Desk sign that I started yesterday and got feedback on it from Jess.
- Opened a box of signs that was delivered to see if any of them were needed for today. They were not.
- Updated Info Desk sign with changes that Jess suggested. Printed it out for Carl to review on Tuesday.
- Consulted with the volunteer program manager about some last minute needs she has for some graphics for a job fair she's attending next week.
- Laid out some signs a client needs for "Dogtoberfest" (don't ask) and sent them along for review.
- Tried to get motivated to do more, but failed. Time to call it a day: 4:20.
