Tuesday 10/20/09 - AFTER WORK

- Left work and drove down to the kung fu school. Picked up the boys and took them to my parents' house. I had a 7:00 doctor's appointment and my mom was going to watch the boys. Walker ate the dinner that Scott packed for him in the back seat of the car during the ride.

- Got my parents around 6:20 and hung out there for a little while talking with my mom and dad, and my cousin Matt who was by to have my dad look at his car. My mom had her lap-top on the kitchen table, so I did a quick check of Facebook before heading off to my appointment.

- I got to the office 10 minutes before 7, but I wasn't seen until almost 20 after 7. I was done and heading back to pick up the boys by 7:40.

- Hung out with my parents for about 15 minutes, but wanted to get the boys home before 8:00.

- Got home just before 8:00. Turned cartoons on for the boys and then went and prepared the bath for the boys. Got Caden undressed and put him in the bathtub. Let him play around for a little while. He LOVES to splash in the tub. He has no fear of the water. Got Caden out and dried and put a diaper on him. Turned the water on again to warm it up for Walker. Got walker undressed and in the tub and let him play while I dressed Caden and settled him in the high chair with some Cheerios. Went and washed Walker's hair and then fed Caden dinner. Got Walker out of the tub, dried him off, and got him dressed.

- Gave Caden a bottle and let him drink it in the high chair for a little while while I swept up Cheerios off the floor and rinsed out some bottles.

- 9:10: Took Caden out of his chair and had Walker kiss him goodnight and then put him to bed.

- Turned on Dancing With the Stars in the kitchen and ate a small bowl of Cheerios. I was starved. Popped on the computer to jot down my list while I listened to the show in the kitchen.

============================

I guess I never finished listing "what in the hell I did" for Tuesday night. And being that I'm just getting around to posting this on Thursday at 9:30, there is NO WAY I can remember what I did 2 nights ago. Looks like I lost a few hours of my life ;)

Tuesday 10/20/09 - WORK

- Trafficky today. Left the house later than I wanted and got in a half hour late :(

- Turn on the computer, catch up on email, and open all the programs I need.

- 9:41: Finalize my Sparks pages.

- Got a call from a printer to let me know that my TSB proofs are ready for viewing online. Pull them up and have some questions. Call the printer, but leave a message.

- Download high-res photos I need for my Sparks pages.

- Help the design intern trouble shoot some font problems she's having on her computer.

- Get a call back from my printer on my proof. Get help trouble shooting the figuring out how to use the online system. Have to figure out how to print out the online proof so that my editor can review the layout.

- Check email and then assign a last minute flyer project to the design staff.

- Back to reviewing my proofs for TSB. Passed print-out to editor 11:10.

- Sparks! Need to silhouette images for layout.

- 11:42: Back to my TSB proof.

- 11:55: Make a fix to my Sparks page.

- 12:00: Lunch!

- 12:45: Back to Sparks!

- 1:20: Sent Sparks pages that mention Harry Potter off for approval from WB.

- 1:25: Write up print ticket for TSB nametag project. Went down to the print shop to drop off the print ticket and then stopped by the main lobby to see the installation of the Harry Potter window graphics. Stopped in on Science Street where Exhibit Maintanence was preparing to install the Hogwarts House banners and then went and got coffee and a sweet.

- 2:00: Job Assignment meeting.

- 2:30: Went back down stairs to consult on the installation of the House banners. Came back up stairs and meet with the project coordinator about shifting a project from me to another designer and then met with that designer to give her the details of the project.

- Finish packing up Sparks for print. Print out hard copies. Burn CD. Pack up to ship UPS.

- Watch Lianne's Power Point presentation that she created.

- HP TSB Timed Tickets: finished laying them out and sent them to print.

- Print out Reserved Table templates.

- Chatted with the Special Events ladies.

- 5:04: Time to go home!

Tuesday 10/20/09 - MORNING

- 6:07: Walker crawls in bed with me.

- 6:15: The alarm clock goes off and...WE'RE OFF!!!

- I hit the snooze and turn around to see Walker standing there holding a dollar bill...the Tooth Fairy made a stop at our house! I was about to whisper a reply to him and Caden lets out a loud and cheery babble. No "snooze" for me!

- Congratulate Walker on his dollar. Get Caden out of the crib and change his diaper. I give Walker a cup of milk while Caden crawls around.

- Walker wants to see the armor I made him and then wants to put it on. I put Caden in his chair with Cheerios and I attach the velcro straps to Walker's armor and put it on him. Then Walker wants the feather attached to his helmet. Scott gave me an idea of how to attach it the night before, so I plug in the hot glue gun to let it warm up. I find clothes for Walker to wear to school. It's gym day, so I try to find a pair of pants that would work best. The only ones I can find are a tad to big for him, so I have to take them in. The hot glue gun is ready and I attach a black pen cap to the back of the helmet and put the blue feather in it. Walker is very pleased.

- 7:04: Take in Walker's pants and get him dressed. He whines about having to take his armor off. Give Caden a bottle as he's done with the Cheerios. Pack up Walker's snack.

- 7:08: Wake Scott up so he can take Walker to the bus stop. Put on Walker's socks, shoes, and sweat shirt.

- 7:14: Scott is up and I show him how the helmet/feather came out and explained how different colored feathers can be switched out because Walker will want to do that. Put on Walker's jacket.

- 7:18: Pop on the computer to update the list while Scott and Walker wait to go down to the bus.

- 7:24: Take Caden out of the high chair because he's bored with it and put him in the living room. Scott gets back from the bus stop. I've been up for over an hour and have yet to take a shower...

- Shower. Iron. Dress. Hair. Help Scott change a very stinky diaper. Make-up: 8:24.

- Head out to work.

Monday 10/19/09 - AFTER WORK

- Drove down to the kung fu school to pick up the boys. I had a really hard time keeping my eyes open. I so hate traffic. It makes me super sleepy. I so close to pulling off the highway and taking a quick nap. I got to kung fu about 15 minutes into class. I debating about whether or not to participate, but I ended up spending 10 minutes in the waiting room chatting with Walker about school and his "wiggly" tooth. I just had no energy.

- I packed up the boys and headed home.

- On the ride home Walker reminded me that I promised to get him a feather for his helmet. We stopped at Michael's and picked up some feathers (Walker can't decide what color he wants) and a couple of other craft items to finish his costume.

- 7:27: Got home and Walker's "wiggly" tooth was hanging on by a "thread." On the ride home he asked if I could pull it out for him, but the time we go into the house he didn't want me touching it. I gave him a wet tissue and told him to hold it to his tooth while he watched Clone Wars. I changed Caden and brought him into the kitchen to feed him dinner. Walker called to me as I was finishing up. I went into the living room and he had his tooth in his hand...and looking very pleased with himself. The toothfairy will be paying us a visit tonight. Got Walker a little envelope to put the tooth in so it doesn't get lost and finished feeding Caden.

- 7:55: set the DVR to record "Dancing with the Stars". Typed up my list.

- Washed bottles and kept reminding Walker to eat dinner. Made a bottle for Caden and swept up all the cereal that he had tossed on to the kitchen floor.

-8:21: Get into my own pajamas for the night. Put away some folded clothes while I was in the bedroom.

- 8:30: Put Caden to bed.

- Break out crafting supplies to work on Walker's knight costume for Halloween. He wants armor for his harms and legs, so I decided to make my own out of "fun foam". I sit on the floor in the living room and draw and cut the pieces out while I watch DWTS. Walker wants to help, but I told him I had to do it myself. He decides to make his own thing and takes all my scraps and cuts them up into little pieces. He said he was making a plane.

- 10:00: It's late, and Walker is still up. I told him he could stay up until his dad got home so he could show him his missing tooth. I'm still working on his costume and I have him settle on the couch and wait for Scott.

- 10:15: Scott comes home and brings in the groceries. Scott goes and tucks Walker in while I unpack the groceries and put them away. Scott joins me in the living room and makes Walker's lunch while I start dinner.

- 10:45: Dinner is ready and Scott and I go sit on the couch and watch the end of Castle while we eat. After I finish eating I go back on the floor and finish gluing Walker's armor pieces.

(The chest armor was purchased at the dollar store. I made the shin and arm bracer)

- After I finish all the gluing, I clean up everything off the floor and then sit on the couch and make notes for my list while Scott is checking his email.

- 12:10: I get on the computer to update my list and do a quick check of email before going to bed.

- Scanned pictures and finally posted Sunday's entry -- 1:00 am.

- 1:07: night!

Monday 10/19/09 - WORK

- Got in my car and saw a light indicating the my "coolant level" was low. I popped the hood and took the anti-freeze out of the trunk and filled the coolant tank. My hands got all black from the engine, but I was blocking Scott in in the driveway, so I had to move. Rather than get out of the car again and go wash my hands in the house, I decided to stop in at Dunkin Donuts and use their restroom before getting my coffee. I made a quick detour to get gas and then hit Dunkin's. Since I was now running late, I picked up a box of munchkins for the office.

- Traffic wasn't too bad, but I wanted to listen to the Tom Brady interview on WEEI so I sat in my car for a few extra minutes in the garage listening. I got into the office about 20 minutes late.

- Logged on to the computer. Caught up with co-workers and then had our weekly staff meeting. Meeting got over 15 minutes early - YAY. Back to my desk and start working on stuff!

- Checked email and reviewed some feedback from my TSB editor.

- Harry Potter tattoos came in, so I grabbed a few for my own :)

- Went over TSB feedback with the Managing Editor and decided which things we'd do and which we would not.

- TSB projects!

- 10:40: Update Job Tracker.

- 10:50: Work on TSB Name tags.

- 11:15: Lay out Harry Potter TSB tickets.

- Took a call from my dad who gave me updates on how our picks did in our football pool.

- Took a trip down to the print shop to find some paper to print some a couple of projects on as our printer is out sick today.

- Sent along some logos to a client who requested them.

- 12:10: Went to The Garden and bought tickets for Scott, Walker, and myself to go see Star Wars: In Concert on November 14!

http://starwarsinconcert.com/

- Walked back to the Museum and grabbed lunch. Munched on lunch until my 1:00 meeting.

- Meet with the Special Events ladies to discuss the remainder of their stuff for The Science Behind... event.

- Spoke with Jr. Designer about TSB signage needs and then made some tweaks to the TSB HP tickets.

- Took a call from my dad about him picking up oil and a filter for my car and made plans for me to switch cars with him on Wednesday.

- Tweaked TSB name tag layout and resubmitted it to the client.

- 2:11: sent HP TSB tickets off for WB's approval.

- Worked on TSB name tags.

- Took a call from my dad about what he thinks is wrong with Scott's car and made me promise to call Scott and tell him, so I did.

- Sat in on a meeting about a promo flyer and then had a chat with my boss about client issues.

- Helped Lianne figure out printing on special paper and then did a "special paper" print out for my own project.

- 3:10: Went with Lianne up to HR to get our complimentary HP passes. Then went down to the print shop to drop off a project to be cut. Then over to the box office for Lianne to return a ticket she didn't need. And finally to the Café to get coffee and a muffin.

- Back to my desk to finalize the TSB name tags.

- Printed out sample TSB Reserved Table signs. Cut them down and gave them to the client to test through their printer.

- Finding it hard to concentrate. My desk is a MESS and I'm juggling too much stuff. Everyone else in the office is gone...time for me to hit the road as well.

Monday 10/19/09 - MORNING

- 6:15: hit snooze. 6:24: hit snooze. 6:33:hit snooze. 6:42: finally get up...groan.

- Turn on the TV and open Walker's door so that the noises in the house start to wake him up. Was just about to pull clothes out or the boys when Caden starts to squawk...and we're OFF!

- Take Caden out of the crib, quickly find some clothes for him and change him. Put him down to play and find clothes for Walker. I change out of my pajama bottoms, and put on pants. Walk past the bathroom and see Walker. "Good morning, Bug." He tries to look cranky, but gives me a smile. I pick him up and bring him into the living room. We play on the couch with Caden for a few minutes and then I look at the clock: 7:04...Walker needs to catch the bus in 15 minutes.

- I quickly help him on with his clothes and deal with a "wiggly" tooth (looks like he'll be loosing it today). I then go and pack his lunch. I write a couple of notes on some of his school papers as I have questions for the teacher and I pack his backpack and put it by the front door. It's now 7:10. I go into the living room and put on Walker's socks and shoes. I pick up Caden who is getting into stuff and put him in his high chair while I make him a quick bottle. As I carry him out of the kitchen I noticed the neighbor standing on the corner with her son about to head to the bus. I double-time it! Drop Caden into his crib (in the bedroom with a sleeping Scott). Grab Walker's coat and tell him to put it on. I throw on a pair of shoes and tell Walker to hurry and get his bag. I throw on my own jacket and we run out the door...it's 7:19.

- The neighbor is actually a couple of minutes early bringing her son out. I probably had another minute and a half before I really needed to be out the door. I bring Walker down to the bus stop and we wait a couple of minutes for the bus to arrive. I give him a kiss and a wave and head back home...exhale!

- I take Caden out of his crib and put him back in the living room and then finish getting myself dressed. Caden starts getting into things, so I put him back in the high chair and do my hair. It's 7:40 and I go and wake up Scott. I go back and finish doing my hair and go back into the bedroom at 7:44 "Honey, you REALLY need to get up."

- I start my list while Scott is in the shower. It's now 8:00.

- Once Scott was dressed and ready to go, I packed up Caden and we all headed out the door: 8:20.

SUNDAY - 10/18/09

- 5:45: Walker woke up. We cuddled on the couch until after 6:00 and then I turned on cartoons and tried to go back to sleep. Unfortunately Walker kept asking me for stuff. I did manage to get a solid 1/2 hour at one point.

- 8:00: Scott's alarm clock went off. Caden woke up. Let the chaos begin!

- Changed Caden completely...he soaked through.

- Gave Caden a bottle and Walker a cup of milk. Went into the kitchen to finish writing up Saturday's list and start Sunday's. It was slow going because I wasn't feeling very well AND Walker keeps coming in and interrupting me (Mommy, what are we doing today? Mommy, look I'm a knight. Mama, where are my other swords. Mommy, draw knights with me. Mama, Caden is getting into something...). I finally put Caden in the high chair to keep him out of things.

- Scott gets out of shower and gets ready to go and teach some private classes. He gets Walker's lightsabers out of the trunk of the car (some cheap versions that we bought at the Dollar Store the day before). They make alot of noise, so I tell Walker to play with them in the other room.

- After writing for a bit, I take a break to draw knights with Walker. He had drawn a bunch while I napping on the couch. I told him they were great, but he says I do it better.

Walker's drawing of knights

My knights drawing.

- After drawing for a while I pull out his "Friday Folder" and we go through all his school work. Some sheets aren't finished, so we do them together. he then decides to put some Halloween stickers on some of the sheets and I have to help him with it because he keeps tearing the stickers.

- I go back to writing while the boys play "knights" on the kitchen floor. Caden uses a paper towel tube as a sword. He is not at all intimidated by Walker's plastic sword. In fact, he even manages to steal it from Walk from time to time.

- 10: 09: Diaper change!

- Put Caden back in the high chair, give him a bottle, and turn on cartoons in the kitchen. Walker is watching YouTube videos, so i take a quick shower while both boys are distracted.

- Got dressed.

- Typed up some of yesterday's list after barricading Caden in the living room (by blocking the entrance with laundry baskets and toy bins...we really need to get a gate, but it's a double wide opening).

- Got Walker dressed.

- Started packing Cade's bag while waiting for Scott to get home.

- Scott arrives just before noon. He got the boys ready while I finished packing the bag.

- Have brunch at Hearth & Kettle with my boys. Walker colored a Sponge Bob Square Pants picture while we waiting for our food. He then drew his own Sponge Bob on the back of the paper and it was pretty impressive (I'm such a proud mama!) Tried to teach Caden to use a crayon, but he was more interested in eating the crayon than coloring with it. He did manage to make a few marks on the paper.

- Scott brought Walker to the bathroom and when they came back I went and changed Caden. We packed up and headed out into the stormy weather (the weather had been yucky all morning).

- We drove down to Kingston to go to the Independence Mall. We wanted to get some shoes for Caden and needed some craft materials for Walker's Halloween costume (Walker decided he needs arm and leg armor to go with the rest of his knight costume). The Independence Mall has several stores that we like and we figured we could find what we needed there.

- We got to the mall and the first thing we discovered was that Old Navy had closed -- SHOCK! This mall is really going down the tubes. WE stopped at Target to find sneakers for Caden. Walker whined the WHOLE TIME because he just wanted to get the stuff for his costume. The boy has NO patience. We argued with him the whole time and finally told him that if he mentioned it one more time that he would get nothing. He pouted and sniffled for the rest of shopping trip.

- We walked to the other end of the mall to go to Jo-ann's Fabrics for the items we needed for Walker costume. When we got there, Walker announced he needed the potty, so Scott took him all the way back to the other side of mall while I kept Caden and looked for the materials I needed...which they ended up not having everything I needed...sigh.

- Caden and I met back up with Scott and Walker and then we headed back out into the stormy weather to go back home.

- We made a stop at Dunkin Donuts for coffee...SO NEEDED COFFEE! The detour also let Walker nap for a little longer, as he had fallen asleep on the drive back. We then headed to my parents to watch the Patriots game.

- Got to my parents' house only to discover my father was in a foul mood (his team lost). He was extremely cranky and said that no one better bother him today because he wasn't in the mood. After a day filled with a whining Walker, I was in no mood to deal with a cranky father AND I knew that Walker would get on his nerves. So I turned around and headed home. I just wanted to kick back and enjoy the game and I didn't think that was going to be possible with my dad in his mood OR Walker in his. Plus with the weather so bad outside, I figured it was just better to go straight home and hunker down for the evening.

- Got home and settled in to watch the game. IT'S SNOWING!!! I love football in the snow...but it IS only October! The game started rough, but it quickly got better and stayed that way.

- 5:55: Half-time. 45-0, Pats!!!!!! And it's now snowing here as well. What the...

- Spent the rest of the afternoon/early evening on the couch watching the Pats slaughter the Titans 59 - 0!!!! It was a good way to pass a storming afternoon.

- Scott headed out around 7:00 to go game with the guys. After the football game was over, I brought Caden into the kitchen and started dinner for Walker and I and fed Caden his.

- 8:00: Got Cade into his PJs, gave him a bottle and put him down for the night.

- Let Walker watch cartoons while I finally finished Saturday's list and posted.

- Went and sat with Walker on the couch and watched Amazing Race. Walker fell asleep, so I moved him to his bed. After Amazing Race, I turned on Sunday Night Football and listen to it as I type up Sunday's list.

- Facebooking...

- 11:20: Whoa! Where did all that time go??? no wonder I'm so tired. going to go chill on the couch for the rest of the evening.+

SATURDAY 10/17/09

- 6:22: "Mommy, can I watch Clone Wars?" I turn it on and try to catch a little more sleep on the couch, but keep get interrupted to "make it faster" (ie: fast forward) during the commercials.

- Clone Wars ends and I let Walker watch some cartoons while I cat nap on the couch. Though Walker keeps asking me questions. Then he asks me to wipe his bum...sigh.

- 7:15: Caden wakes up. I get him out of the crib and change his diaper. Walker asks to watch Clone Wars again, and I tell him later. Caden crawls around on the floor and Walker joins me on the couch and we cuddle for a while watching Blues Clues. Caden finds a package of crackers on the coffee table so I give him one. He munches on that and then decides he wants to join Walker and I on the couch, so then I have two of them crawling on me.

- Walker keeps asking me to call our friend Margaret to see if she's busy today. I keep telling him that it's too early and he keeps asking WHEN will I call her.

- I play with the boys on the couch for about a half hour and then Caden gets hungry, so I get up and get him a bottle, settle him in the living room and pop on to the computer to start the day's list.

- Walker is all about "what time it is?" lately. He must be learning about time in school. He asks me to turn on the kitchen TV so he can watch the clock until it's time to call Margaret. He's in for a reeeelly long wait.

- 8:00: Caden crawls into the kitchen and gets into the recyclables. I pick him up and put him in his high chair with some Cheerios. I'm hungry, so I make myself a bowl. Walker asks for something, so I give him a cup of yogurt.

- 8:07: I hear Scott's alarm clock going off. I go in to the bedroom and turn it off and try to get him up. He tells me to reset it for 8:30...he tries to explain to me that on Saturdays he sets his alarm clock super early so he can hit the snooze button more often and get more rest. I say "Wouldn't settling the alarm clock for much later allow you more rest?" He says "Yeah, some would think that."

- Facebooking...

- Post entries to blog. Find pictures to go along with some of the entries. Takes twice as long as it needs to as I keep getting interrupted to get this or that for Walker and to get Caden out of something he shouldn't be in...usually the computer.

- Take a break to change Caden's diaper.

- Finish posting to blog.

- Get Walker some milk. Decide to give Caden a little bit of real milk as well, in a sippy cup and see how he likes it. He'll be 1 next week and is now old enough to start drinking milk. Made Walker's breakfast of apples and peanut butter and gave some chopped up apples to Caden as well. He loves them.

- 9:55: late morning nap for Caden. Time for mommy to wash some dishes.

- Emptied the dishwasher and loaded it back up again. Scrubbed down the sink, while being interrupted by Walker from time to time to pull legs and arms off of Lego figures and put them on other ones. I look forward to the day that he's strong enough to do it on his own ;)

- 10:30: Laundry.

- Packed Caden's diaper bag.

- Folded clothes while watching the first half of Dr. Phil episode about "Stay at Home Moms vs. Working Moms" that I DVR-ed a few days ago. Walker watched Lego videos on You Tube.

- Called and sent a text to my friend Margaret to see if she was free this weekend.

- Caden woke-up and I got him out of the crib and brought him into the living room to play.

- Took a call from Scott to discuss what our day's plans were.

- Took in Walker's pants and got him half dressed (his shirts were in the laundry).

- Cade was cranky, so I tried to feed him but that didn't seem to be the problem. Let him bang around on his high chair while I washed bottles and cups.

- Went down and did another load of laundry and brought up clean clothes for the boys. Folded some of the clothes while looking for something for them to wear.

- Dressed Caden and put a shirt on Walker.

- Helped Walker find some Playdoh...he was watching a You Tube video that had little clay guys in it and he decided he wanted to make them.

- 12:15: hand write my list as Walker is on the computer and I don't want to forget things.

- 12:30: I'm tired!

- Try to keep Caden out of stuff and then help Walker make the little clay guys because he can't do it.

- Played with Caden on the living room floor to distract him from getting into Walker's stuff (while listening to Walker whine about me needing to make him MORE clay guys. And argued with him about keeping them "soft" vs. letting them harden and explaining to him that it will take DAYS for them to harden).

- Trim both Walker and Caden's toe nails.
555400555555555 (Caden's notes)

- Gave Caden a bottle so I could have a couple of minutes peace to get dresed: 12:50.

- Scott got home at 12:55. He played with the kids so I could do my hair and make-up in relative quiet.

- Packed up the boys and headed out to lunch. Drove to Friendly's and played "Find the Halloween Decorations" on the way to keep Walker from falling asleep. We got so into it and so roudy that we actually made Caden cry.

- Had lunch with the boys. Caden loves french fries. Got a call from my Dad saying he and my mom could watch the boys that night if we wanted to go to our friend's Halloween party that night...Had asked my niece if she could watch them, but she had to watch her own siblings.

- After lunch we drove down the street to Building 19 to see if we could find something to make into a costume for the party that was only a few hours awy. Scott came across a green graduation robe and that inspired us to make him into a Slytherin Quidditch player...actually a really "bad" version of a Quiddich costume, but we only had a few hours and we figured our friends would get a kick out of it. We hit the dollar store next door and found a hate to go with Scott's costume. We also found a knight costume for Walker -- for ONLY $4!!! He seems very pleased with it.

- On the ride home I decided I could go to the party as a "baby in feetie pajamas." I had a pair of footie PJs at home that I bought years ago AND it was really cold out and I figured it would be comfty. Then, as we drove, I came up with the idea of going as Max from "Where the Wild Things Are," as my footie PJs were gray.

- Got home and Googled "Where the Wild Things Are" to see what the costume really looked like. Then I went out to iParty to find a king's crown and stopped into the TJ Max that was next door to see if I could find a gray hat or hoodie. I ended up finding a really cool fuzzy hoodie...for $20. I looked at through the whole store and it was the best option...so I decided to spend the $20 even though I was just going to cut it up.

- On the way home I stopped at the supermarket to get some sweets to bring to the party.

- 6:45: Got home and had 30 minutes to throw the costume together. Got the PJs out of the closet and threw them on. Figured out how to get the hood to work. Cut the hood out and then constructed the "horns/ears" from the left over material. Hot glue works WONDERS! Attached the crown and then cout out some felt claws for my feet. Wah-la! I was Max :)

- Scott had the boys feed and packed up and we headed off to drop the boys off at my parents'. Then we were off to Tewksbury for the Halloween party.

- Our friends were surprised to see us, as the last they heard, we weren't going to be able to make it. They loved our costumes!

- It was a small party, but it's always fun to hang out with friends. We chatted, ate, and joked. We even watched a bit of the Yankee vs. Angles game, but had to leave before it was over -- 12:30 in the 13th????

- Drove home. Made good time as there wasn't much traffic at 1am. Picked up the boys and brought them home. Walker stayed asleep, but Caden woke up. I gave Caden a bottle and settled him into his crib. Scott got on the computer and I sat on the couch and hand-wrote my list. Scott joined me on the couch and I cuddled with him until I fell asleep...not sure what time that was.

Friday 10/16/09 - AFTER WORK

- Drove home. Hardly any traffic.

- Went to my parents' house to pick up Caden. Changed his diaper and clothes as he had wet through while he was napping before I got there. Then sat and chatted with my parents for a little and did my football picks for the pool I have going on with my dad and brother.

- Got Caden packed up in the car and then drove to the bank to get out some money that I owe my brother. Called him, and he answered the phone "I have no money!" I laughed and said "Good, cause I was going to give you some." I drove to where he was working and gave him the rest of the money I had borrowed from him over the summer.

- Caden and I headed home to wait for Walker and Scott to get home so we can have our family "Clone Wars" viewing.

- Let Caden watch cartoons for a little while while I updated my list and posted Thursday's to the blog. Took a couple of pictures with my phone to add to the entries.

- Brought Caden into the kitchen and settled him into the high chair. Called Papa Gino's and ordered a pizza to be delivered for dinner (we always have pizza on Friday night while we watch Clone Wars). Fed Caden some dinner.

- Scott and Walker arrived home and Walker watched to watch Clone Wars right away. We told him we'd watch it once Caden finished his dinner and they were both in pajamas.

- Scott finished feeding Caden while I found PJs for Caden and got his diaper ready. I changed Caden once he was done with dinner and Scott got Walker some pajamas to get into. I let Caden crawl around for a few minutes while I got him a bottle.

- I picked Caden up and settled us both on the couch along with Scott and Walker. Caden sucked on his bottle while we settled in to watch Clone Wars.

http://www.wired.com/geekdad/2009/10/this-week-on-star-wars-the-clone-wars-padme-the-spy/

- At the first commercial I put Caden to bed. We continued to watch the episode and then pizza arrived and we waited for the next commercial before digging in.

- Walker asked questions throughout the episode "Why are there girl droid? Where is the bounty hunter? What's wrong with Padme? Why is Anakin mad?..." We'll have to go back and watch it again later as I'm sure we missed a few things.

- After Clone Wars was over I put Walker in his bed and read him a bedtime story, kissed him goodnight, and then sat and cuddled with Scott on the couch for a few minutes.

- I was getting really tired and decided that if I didn't get up, then I'd fall asleep, so I went and got into my own pajamas and then popped onto the computer and posted my blog to Facebook.

- Played around on FB for a while.

- 10:19: Thinking "bed"

- I go to cuddle on the couch with Scott for a little while, but he's spread out on the couch and when I ask him to move his legs, he gets a REALLY bad leg cramp. I got into the kitchen to get him a bottle of water and a bottle of vitamins that helps with muscle cramps. I try to help massage it out, but it's a really bad cramp. He said it was one of the worst he ever had. Finally it eases and he relaxes but then when he moves again, the OTHER leg cramps in the exact same spot. Weird! I asked if he did anything special in his work-outs today and he said no. Again it's a HORRIBLE cramp. I go and get an ice pack to put under his foot (that helps with leg cramps). Finally he's able to stand and the cramps ease. He walks around the house for a bit and then decides to get on the computer rather than lay back down. I curl up on the couch to watch the news and Letterman...I don't think I made it through Letterman's monologue.

Friday 10/16/09 - WORK

- Brought Caden to kung fu. Was running early - YAY - but when I got there an old friend that I hadn't seen in a while was there, so I stayed to chat for a bit. Got back on the road, stopped at Dunkin's for breakfast and headed into Boston.

- The weather is yucky, so traffic was on the "not-so-good" side of things. Got to the Museum 15 minutes late: 10:15.

- Took a quick bathroom break and then I went right into a meeting to discuss the Winter/Spring Adult Programming Brochure: what are the upcoming programs, when is it needed, is this version going to be the same as the last 3 or are we redesigning this on? It was decided to keep the same format and that our design consultant will do the redesign with "fake" text. I was originally just going to be the "art director" on this project, now I'm the designer AND I'm art directing a second version...sigh

- Had a quickie meeting to talk about a Courses Mailer that is coming up.

- Got back to my desk and finished the "Dogtoberfest" signs that are needed for this weekend.

- 11:30: haven't opened my email yet. It's already a bad day...sigh.

- Took a call from a client with some questions on projects she has on our list.

- Chatted with the Managing Editor about the status of a project that came in during the week.

- Sent an email to my printer about my The Science Behind... program.

- Unpack some boxes that were delivered to see what came in: Signs for "universal waste" (I don't know, don't ask...) and a proof for the hall directory/map.

- Need to restart my computer...it's just not acting quite right...sigh

- Augh! My inbox is "full"...sigh...now need to move 1400 messages to another folder (No, that isn't all of them...that is just 7 months worth that I'm going to move...I try to organize them, but it just gets out of control). It's just one of those days :(

- Had a couple phone conversations with a printer while I waited for my emails to move. Chatted with a co-worker about our evenings.

- Email still isn't working. Called IT Help Desk and they suggested "compacting" the folder. Still having some weird email things, but I think I can work around it for a bit.

- Email a client about their signs that are in.

- 12:00: The Science Behind.... program!

- Fielded a call from our sign vendor on the HP window graphics that we JUST got approval from WB on and are hoping to have installed by the Press Preview on Thursday.

- Stop working on TSB so I can upload the HP logo to the sign vendor. It was missing from their files.

- Chatted with coworkers about "department issues".

- Sat in on a meeting about a holiday invite.

- Work on TSB Map. Had the client come over so we could go over what she wanted ON the map.

- Continued to work on the map and then met with the Managing Editor to review the layout to make sure that everything I did made sense. Got some feedback from her and made adjustments to the layout.

- Went down stairs with co-workers to afternoon coffee and a snack (I got a chocolate covered pretzel) and to see the Harry Potter car that was suppose to be in the process of being placed in the Museum's lobby. It was not there, so after getting our coffee we headed back up stairs.

- Worked on TSB and then got a call that I had a package at the info desk. Went down stairs and picked up the proofs for the Harry Potter window graphics that we'll be putting on the lobby windows. THEY LOOK AWESOME! Called the vendor to give our approval, but also ask if they could upper-case "through".

- Back to TSB.

- Finished the TSB map and passed it on to the client for her review. And then prepped the files for the printer.

- Called my mom to tell her I'm late (yet again) and that I hope to leave soon.

- Had the the advertising manager, who is our HP point person, come down to see the HP window graphic proofs. I figured she'd enjoy it, because it was a battle to actually get it approved.

- Uploaded files to the printer for "The Science Behind..." program - YAY!!!!!

- Opened up my time-log program for the FIRST time today to put in my hours for YESTERDAY and today!

- 5:55: Pack up and head out!

Friday 10/16/09 - MORNING

- 3:45: Woken up by Walker saying "Mama, I have poop in my bum." I got up, brought him to the bathroom and wiped his bum. I told his that it was still night-time, so he would have to go back to bed. He started to whine "oooohhh. I wanted to sleep with someone." I was too tired to argue, so I agreed to sleep in his bed with him. We both fell asleep pretty quickly.

- 6:40: I hear the alarm clock going off in my room. I get up, look at the clock, and am confused at the time, "has it really been going off for 25 minutes?" I turn it off and leave the room but then remember it's FRIDAY and the alarm clock isn't for me, it's for Scott. I go back into the room and tell Scott that I turned off his alarm clock and ask him what time he REALLY needs to get up. 7:00 he tells me. Caden is now awake, so I take him out of the crib and go and change his diaper. He's soaked through, so I completely change him and put on his clothes for the day.

- I turned on cartoons for Caden as he crawled around on the floor and I grab a spool of thread to do a quick "take in" of a pair of pants for Walker that are too big for him. Caden managed to crawl under the coffee table and when he came out and pulled himself up on the edge of the table, he looked to be chewing on something. I stuck my finger in his mouth and found two tiny Lego pieces...sigh.

- It's now creeping up to 7:00 and neither Scott nor Walker are awake. I pop my head into the bedroom and tell Scott he has to get up in a few minutes. I go into Walker's room and start waking him up. I find a shirt to go with the pants that I took in. It's a VERY chilly and rainy morning, so I want to make sure he's wearing a long sleeve shirt.

- I go back and tell Scott "Honey, it's 7:00. Time to get out of bed." He says "I said you had to wake me up at 7:00, not that I had to be out of the bed by then." I groaned and said "Well, I have two of you who need to get out of the bed and I can't be in two places at once." He told me it was more important to get Walker up.

- Walker was still laying in his bed, so I picked him up and carried him out of the room and into the living room (Walker laughing the whole time) and then smothered him with kisses to keep him laughing and in a good mood. It's now just past 7:00 and I tell him he has to get dressed. He says "Wait, I need milk first!" Rather than arguing, I go into the kitchen...Caden chasing me along the way...and get him a cup of milk. I go back into the living room and get Walker dressed while he's drinking his milk. I try to put on the pants I took in, but I took them in too much, plus Walker decides it's then that he needs to pee. I take the pants off and he goes to the bathroom while I try to find another pair of pants for him to wear. The shirt I find doesn't exactly go with the pants, but now it's 7:10 and I'm running out of time, so I decide not to care.

- I go into the kitchen and pack up his lunch bag while Scott is in the bathroom. I put Walker's back pack by the front door and grab both his jacket and a sweat shirt, as it's cold out today and I don't know where his winter jacket is. I get Walker bundled up and then go make a bottle for Caden and put him in his high chair outside of the bathroom door so that I can bring Walker to bus stop.

- I bundle myself up, run out to the car to get an umbrella (can't seem to remember to bring them back INTO the house) and come back in to get Walker. I look out the window and see my neighbor a few houses down coming out the door with her daughter, so Walker and I head out the door as well. We get to the bus stop about 10 seconds before the bus.

- I walk back to the house with the neighbors chatting about how the buses seem to be running early lately and one neighbor offers up a new Columbia coat for Walker that she doesn't need for her own son.

- I stop on the back porch to pull out the recyclables (Scott didn't want to put them out the night before because it was stormy). I then go into the house and get the remaining recyclables and put them on the curb.

- Scott is out of the shower and I bring Caden into the kitchen and we watch the Today Show while I clean the George Forman Grill that I used for dinner TWO NIGHTS AGO! Scott makes himself something to eat on his drive to work and I give Caden some Cheerios and give a kiss to Scott as he heads out the door. I give Caden some bananas to go with his Cheerios and get on the computer to recap my morning before it all leaves my head.

- 8:15: Time to get myself dressed..

- 8:37: Dressed. Hair done. Make-up done. Socks on Caden. Check email.

- 8:55: Time to head out.

Thursday 10/15/09 - AFTER WORK

- Got home at 1:45 and updated my blog while I waited for Walker's bus to arrived. Heard the bus coming down the street and ran out the house and got there and they let Walker off the bus.

- Went back in the house so Walker could get some toys to take to lunch with Scott and Caden.

- Met Scott and Caden at Friday's for lunch. I just got a garden salad, as I had had pasta earlier at work. Scott ordered a entree salad, but it came back with some really dried out chicken, so he sent it back and we had to wait another 10 minutes for his food. The manager did take it off our bill, so we had lunch for 3 (we don't order anything for Caden) for $15.

- Got a text from my sister that Madison was doing okay, but the doctors wanted to watch her for a while. Got a photo of Madison in the hospital (looking very happy with herself) from my mom's phone.

- I took Walker and Scott took Caden. I took the "long way home" in hopes that Walker would fall asleep, but he did not. No nap for him. No nap for me. Caden did fall asleep for Scott, so he's taking his nap.

- Took a call from my boss on the status of a project and then jumped on the computer to check email.

- Posted my blog update to Facebook.

- Wiped Walker's butt and then got him a cup of pudding...yeah, those two things really shouldn't be in the same sentence...

- Saw on Facebook that my next door neighbor had a baby boy today. Rang the doorbell of my upstairs neighbor to pass along the news. She stopped in to see the announcement and we chatted for a bit.

- Caden woke up from his nap, so let him play around on the floor for a while, then once he started getting into to much, I put him in his high chair and gave him some snacks.

- Scanned a photo of me for the Jade Forest page.

- Helped Walker find batteries for a flashlight so he can find a toy he's looking for...and wants me to help him find, but it's a little toy and I don't even know where to begin looking for it.

- Tried to find a "little guy" that Walker wanted to play with. Found PART of the guy, but not the whole toy. Did manage to get his room in the "searching" process, so he may not have been happy that we didn't find what he was looking for, but I was happy to finally get the room clean. Also got many of his action figures/lego figures/mini figures (the list seems endless) organized and in their designated bins (yes, I have designated bins for each type of "guy"...makes it a little easier to find a specific toy if he's looking for it. YET it only works IF he puts the toys back where they belong.)

- Changed Caden's diaper and put him in his PJs (after chasing him around the living room...he moves fast for still only being able to crawl). Brought him in the kitchen and gave him some crackers while I got Walker's dinner ready. Gave Walker his dinner and then fed Caden.

- Finished feeding Caden. Gave him a bottle of juice so I could update my list and check in on Facebook. I need a short break after all that cleaning.

- Caden finished his small bottle of juice and I let him play for a little while. Then I got him a small bottle of formula and rocked him in the glider while we watched the end of Diago.

- Just before 8:00, I put Caden to bed and then sat on the couch with Walker and drew stormtroopers with him. I made the troopers, he gave them blasters and put them on some stairs. He wanted to mimic a picture that was in Star Wars comic book he had found in the house earlier in the day.

- I drew the picture Walker wanted and then I turned on Survivor. Walker laid on the couch to watch it for a while with me, but then fell asleep.

- Put Walker in his bed after Survivor and then sat back on the couch to watch CSI while the house was quiet. Scott called to see what I was doing and I told him I was watching TV. He said he had to stop at Walmart for a new recycles bin and told me not to fall asleep.

- Scott got home a little while later and I was ALMOST asleep, but not quite. I got up and went into the kitchen to make dinner while Scott packed up the trash. I cooked up some chicken and added it to some rice on the stove and let it simmer for 20 minutes. Went into the living room to veg...AND I did end up falling asleep. Scott woke me up after the timer went off and I went into the kitchen to get my dinner. We came back into the living room and watched the end of the Mentalist and then the news. I believe I fell back to sleep sometime before the news ended. I don't recall seeing the sports segment.

Thursday 10/15/09 - WORK DAY

- Drove to work...traffic wasn't too bad, even though there was a 6 car pile-up on the south-bound side of the highway.

- Got to the Museum at 9:00, but desperately needed coffee, so went straight to the café. Got into the office around 9:10.

- Chatted with coworkers about non-work related stuff. Talked to my boss about our printer being out sick today and how we'll get Your Visit Today printed.

- Checked email and jumped back on to The Science Behind... program so I could get it to the editor by 11:00 today.

- Asked my boss to move a meeting to another day because I had alot to do today and I had to leave early.

- Read an email from my boss that I had to pass along my 2 cents on.

- Back to TSB.

- Responded to another email. And opened my time log document.

- Start TSB program map.

- Design Assignment meeting. Reviewed assignments with the Design Team and discussed any issues with projects.

- Had an impromptu meeting with several coworkers to discuss the feasibility to get a project done that came in last minute.

- Back to my TSB map.

- 11:30: Meeting about a "Save the Date" card.

- 11:45: Back to TSB map.

- noon: went down stairs with Lianne to get a light lunch. Have to leave at 1:15, but hungry now.

- Ate pasta while working on my TSB map.

- Sent TSB to my editor for FINAL review.

- 1:16: HOME!

Thursday 10/15/09 - MORNING

- Sometime around the 5 o'clock hour Walker taps me on the shoulder while I'm sleeping on the couch. I think he says something about wanting to draw pictures or watch cartoons. I pull him on to the couch with me and my 5-year-old-who-is-the-size-of-an-8-year-old falls asleep on my chest. I fall back to sleep.

- Just before 6 o'clock, Walker starts to squirm. I try to shift him into a better position, but he ends up waking up. He asks me to turn on cartoons. I move him to the other end of the couch, turn on the TV and try to catch a few more minutes of sleep. Unfortunately Walker wants a cup of milk, so I have to get up.

- Give Walker his milk, update yesterday's list and start today's.

- 6:15: the alarm clock goes off in the bedroom. I turn it off, but Caden is starting to squirm. Do I risk taking a shower NOW or do I wait to see if he wakes up...and take care of him before going into the shower??? The questions of a parent...

- I choose the shower. No telling if Caden was REALLY waking up. Didn't want to go into the room and check, so decided, take a shower and if he DOES wake up, he can just play in the crib OR Scott will get up and take care of him for a few minutes until I'm done :)

- Got out of the shower and id a quick email check before starting to get dressed.

- 6:55: Caden starts calling from his crib. I go in and get him out and change his diaper and PJs (he wet through).

- Help Walker put a sticker on his calendar and count how many more "school days" until "home days."

- Get Walker some clothes to wear to school and help him get dressed. Sit on the couch with him for a while while he whines about having to go to school. Me telling him that I will pick him up from the bus doesn't seem to help. He wants me to drop him off as well, but I'm still not dressed and my hair is still up in a towel.

- Put everything into Walker's backpack and then help him get his socks and shoes one...while he continues to whine. Put on his jacket and wake up Scott to walk Walker to the bus.

- Give Walker a kiss and remind him that I will pick him up today.

- Try to find some clothes to wear today and fold some in the laundry basket during the process.

- Ironed some pants and got dressed. Did my hair while Scott made Caden a bottle and brought him into the living room. Did my make up and then stopped in the living room to cuddle with Caden for a few minutes and talk with Scott about flu vaccinating the boys. Walker can't be vaccinated because he's allergic to eggs. I told him that when Caden has his 1 year check-up next week, I think he should get the general flu vaccination, but I'm not feeling comfortable with the H1N1 vaccine. I just feel like it's been pushed through and there isn't enough study on it to know if it's really safe.

- Finished getting ready for work and head out the door: 8:10.

Thursday, October 15, 2009

Wednesday 10/14/09 - AFTER WORK

- Drove to my parents to get Caden. Traffic wasn't too bad, since it was well after 6:00 pm, and I made the trip in about 35 minutes.

- Sat and chatted with my mom about Caden's cheery personality. How he gets into everything, yet he always has such a big smile on his face, so you can't get mad. We talked about how Caden and Walker's personalities are so different and compared them to how I and my sister Kellie were total opposites when we were little as well.

- Packed Caden up and headed down to Rockland to pick Walker up at kung fu. Called Scott on my way there and asked him to make sure Walker was ready to go when I got there as Caden had fallen asleep in the car and I didn't want to have to take him out.

- Got to kung fu and Walker came running out...ready to go! Grabbed Walker's dinner bag from Scott, gave him a kiss, and told him I'd see him later.

- Drove home while Walker and I talked about his day at school...or mostly Walker doing most of the talking. He told me how he went to music class, and then to different stations, and then had lunch, and then took a rest, and then went to more stations... He also told me that his friend Samantha (who he went to Pre-k with) gave him an invite to her birthday party and he wanted to know who would take him and how far away it was.

- 7:45: Got home and unloaded the kids. Turned cartoons on for Walker and gave him a cup of milk. Brought Caden into the kitchen and fed him dinner. Got him a bottle of juice and then changed his diaper and put him in his PJs. Let him crawl around and play for a little while while I got into my own PJs and then sat on the couch with him and Walker for a few minutes.

- 8:30: put Caden to bed and updated my list before drawing some little Star Wars characters that Walker asked me to make for him.

(I drew the guys and Walker colored them in and gave them lightsabers and blasters)

- Sat on the couch and drew pictures of Star Wars characters with Walker while watching Wonder Pets. Then cuddled with him while i watched America's Next Top Model that I had DVR-ed. Scott called to see if we needed anything from the supermarket and Walker fell asleep on the couch.

http://www.cwtv.com/shows/americas-next-top-model13

- 9:30: Post Tuesday's list to blog.

- Scott came home and we both went into the kitchen. I started dinner while he packed the boys things for the next day. Chatted with Scott about why I had to stay late at work and all the craziness we have to deal with on "Harry Potter" and dealing with WB.

- Finished cooking dinner and retired to the couch to eat and watch CSI: NY. Scott and I talked about my "working mom" thoughts. Hadn't had a chance to watch the Dr. Phil episode yet, but was interested to hear what the two sides had to say.

- After I finished eating, pulled out my project list for work and made "design assignments" for the design team and reviewed my own list of projects... while watching the 11:00 news.

- Vegged on the couch watching Letterman until I fell asleep. Woke up at some point much later to Caden crying. Scott was getting him a bottle and settled him back down. I had thought about moving to the bed, but with Caden awake in the room, I didn't want to be a "distraction" while he was falling back to sleep, so I rolled over and went back to sleep myself...on the couch.

Wednesday 10/14/09 - WORK

- Stopped for gas and coffee. Traffic was bad and got into work 45 minutes late :(

- Got a call from my TSB program client and heard that the both the Mayors of Boston and Cambridge have pulled out of the event...Obama is coming to town that afternoon, so we think it has something to do with that...grrrr.

- Jumped on Sparks, as I have a meeting in 10 minutes and need to have it done by noon.

- Had a quick meeting with a client about a "give away" he wants to create.

- Back to Sparks. The whole Design Team finished up their pages an hour and a half ahead of schedule - YAY Design Team!

- Chatted with a fellow "working mom" about "working mom" issues. Shared some support links and brainstormed about starting a support group of our own.

- 10:43: Rework TSB table sign layout for this afternoon's meeting.

- Checked email. Looked up some info for an old co-worker and passed it along to her.

- 11:15: Got changes from editor on The Science Behind... Program. Open the files to make the updates.

- Got interrupted to help the design intern and then again by my boss who tells me our negative machine in the print shop has died and we'll need to send out for negative. Help explain that process to the intern.

- Got a couple of things done on TSB program.

- 11:30: Assignment Meeting.

- 11:57: Back to TSB.

- Went down stairs to get lunch. Came back up and checked email while munching on fries and a cheese burger. Also making updates to TSB.

- Shared pictures of my new nephew, Conner, with my friend Lianne.

- Back to work on TSB Program. Printed out 3 copies to bring to event meeting later this afternoon.

- Flipped out at my boss about a printed project that someone made for themselves but SHOULDN'T HAVE...grrrrrr!

- Caught up on email before going to our weekly Staff Meeting.

- 2:00: Staff meeting. Continued to express my annoyance about the "gorilla" piece that was done earlier. Reviewed projects and discussed vacation days.

- 2:30: The Science Behind... Event meeting. They LOVED the program. Went over all the remaining things that need to be done for next weeks event.

- 3:30...what did happen between 3:30 and 4:00??? Did another test mock-up of TSB program and responded to emails that came in while I was in meetings. Sent Museum image and logo to someone who needed it for a volunteer fair.

- 4:00: Sent out Dogtoberfest signs to print.

- Print out project list so I can assign design projects.

- Chatted with the department editors about some changes to my TSB program and then consulted with my boss about placement of the Harry Potter tower banner.

- Went to the cafe and got a coffee and a sweet-treat!

- Came back up and started making the edits to TSB program that the editorial staff made, but got interrupted to make a special TSB Invite PDF.

- Back to Program.

- Chatted with co-worker about some of her wedding plans for next fall. Called my mom to tell her I was going to be late tonight.

- Back to TSB program. Finished changes and sent file to client.

- Did a quick "concept" layout for a poster that my boss needed.

- 5:50: updated my time-log.

- 5:55: uploaded some files to bring home that I'll need to work on.

- 6:02: Head home!

Wednesday 10/14/09 - MORNING

- 6:15: alarm clock went off. Tried to get off the couch without waking Caden, but failed. Turned off the alarm clock and played with Caden for a little while in the living room while I watched the news. Changed his diaper and get him in some clothes for the day

- 6:45: Walker woke up and I started getting him ready for school. Got him something to munch on and got Caden a bottle. Found Walker some clothes. Did an activity with him in his Star Wars activity book. Helped him get dressed and went and packed his lunch bag.

- Found some clothes to wear for myself and ironed a pair of pants and started ironing a shirt while I waited to bring Walker to the bus stop.

- 7:15: Put Walker's shoes and jacket on and got myself bundled up to head outside, while Walker did another activity in his activity book.

- 7:20: Put Caden in his crib to finish his bottle while Scott was sleeping. Walked Walker down to the bus stop. Gave him a kiss and told him to be good and came back home.

- Finished ironing my shirt. Finished getting dressed. Took Caden out of the crib and put him in his high chair with some cereal. Did my hair and woke up Scott. Set the DVR to record Dr. Phil -- ONLY because today's episode is about "Working Mothers vs Stay-at-home Mothers." I'm interested in seeing what people have to say. I've been doing LOTS of thinking on this topic as of late.

- 7:45: Completed yesterday's list and started today's.

- Did my make-up. Changed Caden's diaper, yet again. Found a sweater to go with my outfit...it's chill out there today.

- Packed up Caden. Bundled myself up. And hit the road: 8:28.

Wednesday, October 14, 2009

Tuesday 10/13/09 - AFTER WORK

- Drove down to Rockland. There was hardly any traffic so I got there in about 40 minutes. Ended up catching up with Scott as I went down Route 3 and we got to the school at the same time.

- Went into the school, changed Caden and then played with him a bit before getting into my kung fu clothes. Did the first part of class but then my stomach started bugging me and jumping and spinning wasn't helping. I spent the rest of the class playing with Caden and wiping Walker's bum (yes, multiple times).

- Got myself changed back into my regular clothes and got the boys packed up and headed home.

- Checked email really quickly before feeding Caden and then putting the boys into the bath.

- Fed Caden. Let him play in the living room while I filled the tub. Put him in the tub while Walker found toys to play with in the bath. Got Caden out of the tub while Walker got in. Put on his diaper and let him play beside the tub while Walker took his bath. Got Caden in his PJs, gave him a bottle and put him to bed. Finished washing Walker up and then got him out of the bath and into PJs. Settled him on the couch with some Legos. Helped him find some specific ones he wanted and then got him a cup of milk and two marshmellows (it's what he wanted). Went into the kitchen and swept up all the Cheerios that Caden had tossed on the floor throughout the day and then cleaned out the bath.

- 9:00: update the list.

- Sat on the couch and watched TV with Walker and then Scott came home, gave him some cough medicine and brought Walker to bed while I went into the kitchen to start dinner.

- Washed baby bottles while waiting for water to boil for the tortellini I was making. Scott packed the boys' bags while we chatted and caught up on the day's activities.

- Finished cooking dinner and Scott and I went into the living room to eat and finish watching The Forgotten (which was on the kitchen TV while we were working in the kitchen). It's an okay show. A little far fetched.

- I finished dinner and then put my head down on a pillow to watch the news and fell asleep.

- 3:00: Woken up by Caden screaming from the crib. Scott went in to change his diaper and when he was done, I took him and cuddled with him on the couch and Scott went to bed. Tried to put Caden in his bed after he fell asleep at 3:45, but he woke right back up, so I picked him back up and went back into the living room. We slept on the couch until my alarm clock went off 2.5 hours later.

Tuesday 10/13/09 - WORK

- Drove to work in the rain. Traffic was yucky :( Got to the office by 9:45.

- Got into the office and turned on the computer and pull up the programs I need for work. Feeling very tired, I talked Lianne into going down stairs to the café with me to get a coffee. I need caffeine!

- Back to my desk and then review Sparks edits with Lianne before she starts working on her pages.

- Check in with the design intern before starting my own projects.

- Review printers proofs for Linda in the Membership department who is away on vacation.

- Before I started the review, I updated my "to do" list and realized I had made a promise to a client to make some sample table numbers for a meeting she was having at 11 today. Had to do that first.

- Took a call from my TSB Program editor and told her I'd be jumping on that project as soon as I get two smaller things out of the way this morning.

- 10:40: Back to reviewing those Membership proofs. There are some issues with the file that are available via the printers web page for proofing. Left a voicemail and sent an email to the printer inquiring how to move forward.

- Passed sign samples to client.

- Check email.

- Received a box of magnets and sent an email to the client to let them know they were in.

- Updated my time log and started to work on TSB Program when I realized I missed a call. It was from the printer for the membership piece. Tried to call him back and get his voicemail. Left a message and back to TSB.

- Took a call from the printer to trouble shoot their proofing site so I could review the membership proof properly. Got a call from my boss to discuss a file I needed from him. Tried to finish reviewing the proof, but still having issues, so sent an email to the printer again.

- 11:50: TRYING to get back to TSB Program...

- 12:37: quick break from TSB to reply to a text from my sister. Then back to the program edits.

- 12:50: Went downstairs and grabbed lunch and sat at our meeting table with Lianne and chatted about our weekends.

- 1:30: Chatted with my Jr. Designer and told her she was not allowed to leave...she gave us her notice this morning. Found out where she's going and what she'll be doing. it's a great opportunity for her. Checked out some cool images that my boss sent to us and checked personal email.

- Finally approved ALL of the Membership proofs.

- Reviewed a sign layout for my Jr. Designer.

- 1:55: BACK to TSB program!

- 2:10: Scott called to give me an update on his day with the boys: picked up Walker at the bus. Went to a private with Sifu. Having lunch at the Hanover Mall.

- Back to TSB.

- 3:00: Show & Tell with the design team. Updated them on a meeting I had on Friday and then showed my TSB program and got some feedback that I then implemented.

- Consulted with Jr. Designer on some more sign projects.

- Finished up my TSB changes and then sent an email to my editor with the updated PDF.

- 4:07: trying to decide what to do next...Then had a quick meeting to discuss TBS table signs. Will update the layouts in the morning and have them ready for a meeting in the afternoon.

- Vegged on FB for a little while. Now it's time to go home: 4:35.

Tuesday 10/13/09 - MORNING

- 4:40: Walker crawls into our bed and begins coughing. 4:44: his coughing wakes up Caden. It's not even 5:00 in the morning yet and both the boys are now awake. I nudge Scott and say "Do you want to put Walker back to bed or get up and change Caden?" Scott chooses Walker. I pull Caden out of the crib and change his diaper and Scott comes back with a bottle. I settle Caden back down in his crib

- 5:15: Caden is squawking again I get up and fish around his crib for his bottle and give it back to him. He doesn't seem very interested, but I'm not about to get up at 5:15 so I decide to let him play in the crib. Scott had stayed up late playing a video game and only managed to get an hour sleep so far, so he moves to the living room couch to try and get some sleep. Eventually I and Caden both fall asleep.

- 6:16: The alarm clock goes off. Caden is still sleeping so I hit the snooze button and go back to bed. Repeat process until 7:00 when I realize "Oh no! Walker needs to catch the bus in 20 minutes."

- 7:00: Walk out the bedroom to find Walker sitting on the floor waiting for me. I bring him into the living room and kick Scott off the couch and back to the bed. I turn on cartoons for Walker, go get him a cup of milk, and then go find him some clothes to wear. Typically Scott walks Walker to the bus on Tuesdays, but since he didn't sleep well the night before I decide to let him sleep.

- Caden wakes up, I take him out of the crib. He needs a diaper change, but I don't have the time, so I risk him leaking and let him play on the floor while I help Walker get dressed and then pack his snack for his half-day today.

- I change into some pants to walk to the bus, get Caden a bottle and put him back in the crib so I can bring Walker to the bus. Get mine and Walker's coats on and grab an umbrella (it's raining) and head to the bus. Give Walker a kiss and tell him his Dad will meet him when the bus brings him home and then put him on the bus and walk back home.

- Caden is chattering from the crib, so I take him out, change is diaper and put him in the high chair and place it outside the bathroom so I can take a shower.

- 7:55: Sit down and start my list before I forget everything.

- 8:00: Go find some clothes to wear for work.

- Check Meeting Maker to see if I have any special meetings I need to dress up for before deciding what to wear.

- Ironed a shirt. Got dressed and then sent an email to my office to let them know I was running late.

- Gave Caden some Cheerios and a bottle of juice while I dried my hair and put on my make up.

- Swept up some Cheerios off the kitchen floor that Caden had dropped there and then took Caden out of the high chair and brought him into the living room to play with some toys.

- 8:45: Finished getting ready for work and woke up Scott so I could head out.

MONDAY 10/12/09

Columbus Day - It's a holiday, no work for me!
==============================================

- 5:30: Walker taps me on the shoulder while I'm sleeping. I pull him in to the bed to cuddle and he squirms for the next 8 minutes until I give up and say "fine, I'll turn on Clone Wars for you."

- 5:38: Put Clone Wars on for Walker and tell him to wake me up when it's over (it's a half hour episode).

- 6:10: "Mom, Clone Wars is over." I get up, put on Nick Jr., give him a cup of milk, and tell he I'm going back to lay down.

- 6:30: Caden is shouting from the crib...sleep time is over. I get Caden out of his bed and bring him into the living room. Walker is playing with his Lego men on the coffee table, so I sit on the couch and cuddle with Caden and watch Blues Clues so he doesn't get into Walker's toys. Caden was content to cuddle and play on the couch for almost 45 minutes - NICE.

- 7:15: Caden wants to get down and play, so I move Walker to "higher ground" and let Caden go play.

- Check the temp in the house...it's 64 degrees. WAY TOO COLD...so I pop on the heat for the first time this season. Go around the house and make sure all the vents are clear of toys, shoes, boxes, etc that may have been placed on top of them during the summer.

- Turn on the computer and check in with friends via Facebook while keeping Caden away from the computer (that really doubles the time it should take). Make Caden a bottle to keep him out of trouble for a little while. Eventually he gets tired of that and tries to get back into the computer. I put him in the high chair with Cheerios and the Today show...did you know the Duggers are expecting their 19th child and just had their first grandchild. That is just CRAZY. I can barely juggle two!

- Get Walker breakfast. And make myself a bowl of Cheerios. I'm starved: 8:21.

- Go back to yesterday's list and fill in all the blanks. I wasn't very good about keeping it up yesterday. Jotted down some notes during our ride to NH, but didn't have the energy to update the list when I got home...stupid Pats!

- Finished up yesterday's list in-between interruptions of getting Caden out of things he shouldn't be in. Gave him a big pile of toys to play with and that has seemed to distracted him for a little while. And a break to help Walker pick up the draw he pulled out of his dresser as he was looking for clothes to wear...no idea why he wanted to get dressed already. I think he wants to go someplace.

- Posted Sunday's list to the blog and added some photos that I found online....while juggling Caden on my lap who was trying to get into stuff.

- Fed Caden breakfast.

- Woke Scott up. Washed bottles. Ate a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Chatted with my dad on the phone about yesterday's football games. Looked up pictures of my new nephew on FB.

- Went through Walker's "Friday Folder" and sat at the kitchen table and helped him do some homework while Scott was in the shower and Caden played around on the kitchen floor.

- Got dressed while Scott got Caden dressed and put him down for a short nap.

- Got Caden out of the crib and packed up so we could head out for some brunch.

- Went to Newcomb Farms for brunch with the boys. Got chocolate chip pancakes and scrambled eggs.

http://www.yelp.com/biz/newcomb-farms-family-restaurant-milton

- After brunch we drove down to The Christmas Tree Shops to find a scarecrow for Walker...he's been talking about one for weeks. I've seen them there plenty of times...of course this time they have none. I do find a little one to stick in a potted plant and that seems to be good enough for Walker...score, $1.69! But of course he also has to get a $2.00 fake Lego kit and a pack of Halloween stickers. I consider myself lucky that I got out of there with only spending $7.00.

- Drove home and Scott is helping Walker put together his little Lego-like kit. I hope on the computer to check email and such.

- Ordered Scott's commemorative 501st Lego t-shirt for doing Saturday's troop.

- Put away some folded clothes and then decided it was finally time to pack away the summer clothes and pull out all the fall/winter clothes. Tried on some fall/winter pants that were in the storage bin and was excited to discover that I fit into my old size 10 pants - OOOOOH YEAH!!!!

- While I was switching clothes around, I had Scott lower Caden's crib mattress a couple of notches, he was ready to fall out any day now.

- Got online to announce that I again fit in my size 10 pants :)

- Started working on posting Octoberfest info on the Dragonclaw Facebook page, while keeping Caden out of things. Got interrupted by Scott to move my car so he could go to work and then by Walker who needed to go "potty." 5:30: finished posting and sent out an message to the DCC group to let them know it was up.

- Sent out some birthday wishes to some friends via FB.

- Helped Walker on the potty again and then put him into PJs. Then he told me he wanted a Happy Meal...since it's Monday (food shopping night for Scott) we don't really have anything in the house to eat anyway, so I figured "why not." I packed up the boys and took them through the McDonald's drive thru and came home so Walker could eat his dinner. Caden fell asleep during the ride, and is still down for the time being. I'm munching on fries.

- Wiped Walker's butt AGAIN! He has a cough and a runny nose, and quite possibly a belly ache. I see another "home day" in the near future.

- Caden woke up and I cuddled with him on the couch for a little while and then put him in the high chair to eat some French Fries that Walker has not eaten.

- Did some surfing around the internet looking for some photos and reviews for my blog.

- Brought Caden into the kitchen and fed him some baby food (sweet potatoes) while watching Extra and then gave him a bottle of juice while I checked in on Walker who is having more "bathroom issues."

- Set the DVR to record Dancing with the Stars and Castle.

- Sent some friends emails with links to photos from this weekend's Barnes & Nobel event.

- Chased Caden around the house and then wrestled with him to change his diaper and put his PJs on. Let him terrorize his brother for a little while and then put him down in the crib with a bottle: 8:20.

- Exchanged some emails with some special friends about some special stuff...mums the word for now...and then off to to watch Dancing with the Stars, as Walker has fallen asleep on the couch and I can have some TV viewing time in peace and quiet :)

- Fell asleep some time before the end of DWTS, but was woken up by Scott coming in with the groceries. I rewinded back DWTS to check out the dances I missed and then went into the kitchen to help Scott put away the groceries...he was pretty much done when I got in there.

- Made dinner for Scott and I (Turkey melts and a Pasta-roni dish). We went into the living room and turned on Castle which I had the DVR recording. Got a good chuckle out of that episode and then watched a bit of Letterman before calling it a night...wow, in bed before 1:00!

SUNDAY - 10/11/09

- 6:05: Walker wakes me up and we cuddle in bed for about 5 minutes before Caden also wakes up and then we all get up and go into he living room. I change Caden's diaper. Get Walker a cup of milk. Brush my teeth. Get Caden away from the computer, which he crawled up too. Put him in the high chair and give him some snacks while I make his bottle. Give Caden his bottle and jump on the computer to start this list: 6:34

- Tried to clear out all the "requests" that I had piled up on Facebook, while trying to keep Caden from biting me or getting into the computer. Spent a few minutes playing with him trying to teach him "eyes", "nose", and "mouth." And interrupted a couple of times by Scott's alarm clock and trying to get him to get out of bed (he has privates to teach today).

- Post Saturday's list to blog....but first get Walker some fruit snacks...and then get Caden out of trouble...put him in his high chair with his bottle to keep him in one spot...figure out how to add images to the blog...and POST.

- 7:42: Scott has to head to work, so I have to go out in the COLD and move the car. Back in the house and have to figure out what needs to happen this morning. We have to be on the road to NH around noonish and I have to pick up a birthday present first.

- Changed Caden and got him dressed for the day.

- Folded a basket of laundry and tried to find Walker some clothes to wear. Loaded a basket up with dirty clothes to bring down to the laundry room so I can see if Walker has any pants in the dryer.

- Put Caden back in the high chair with a bottle of juice and brought a load of laundry down and loaded up another basket for the next trip.

- Gave Walker his breakfast and made something quick for myself...a heated Bertucci's roll.

- Set Walker up on YouTube with some Star Wars Lego videos and put Caden's high chair outside the bathroom door. Gave him a bottle of juice to distract him while I took a shower.

- Got dressed, did my hair, and put on my make-up.

- Went down to the laundry room to get pants for Walker and put in another load of clothes. Gave Walker his clothes to put on and went and got Caden dressed.

- 10:10: everyones' packed up. Time to head to Walmart. Shopping list: diapers, baby food, water, juice boxes, and a birthday gift for Grampy. Made a pit-stop for Coffee for me (my head was pounding) and milk for Walker.

- Headed home about 10 minutes before Scott did. Waited for him to get home and switched cars around as we'd be taking mine up to NH for Grampy's birthday.

- Scott packed Caden's diaper bag while I wrapped up Grampy's present. We got the boys ready and packed them up into the car for our 2.5 hour drive north to Washington, NH.

- Another pit-stop at Dunkin's to get us through the next couple of hours.

- We got to enjoy some "leaf peeping" on the ride up. It IS pretty up there...just not sure I'd like to LIVE that far from civilization - lol!

See more great photos of NH here: http://www.chesterfieldoutdoors.com/reflections/fall1.htm

- The boys slept for most of the ride...thank goodness. We arrived at Grampy's (and Bob and Madelyn's) house at 2:30.

- Caught up with Scott's family: dad, grandfather, aunt, uncle, and cousins. Walker met cousins he hadn't seen since he was a baby and quickly was off playing ball and hide-and-seek with them (YAY WALKER!). Caden crawled around, tried to get into things, but still managed to "look cute." ;)

- We had lunch with the family and Grampy opened his birthday presents. We gave him a "NH Survival Kit" (box of chocolate, a bag of Dunkin Donuts coffee, a CD of Scottish drum and bagpipe music -- he's Scottish -- and a warm fleece throw).

- We caught the first half of Patriots game with our cousins and then packed the boys up to go.

- Listened to the game go down the tubes on the ride back home...sigh!

- Made a stop at McDonald's as Caden had been crying for the past 15 minutes while we were stuck in traffic and we figured he needed his diaper changes. We were correct. He had soaked through so I had to completely change him. Luckily I decided to bring his PJs along.

- 8:20: Got home from NH. Fed Caden while Scott got Walker his dinner.

- Scott put Caden to bed about 9:00 and called Sweet Lemons in Weymouth to order us some Pad Thai for dinner. I cuddled with Walker on the couch and watched Amazing Race, as Scott went out to pick up the food. Walker fell asleep and I picked him up and put him to bed.

Read a review on Sweet Lemons (one of our favorite Thai places on the South Shore) here: http://mangomissives.wordpress.com/2009/04/27/sweet-lemons/

- Scott got home with dinner and we sat on the couch, watched TV, and ate dinner. I got caught back up with Project Runway, which I had fell asleep during the other night when we were watching it.

- Fell asleep at some point and then woke up and watched a show about conjoined twins on TLC (that topic fascinates me for some reason) and then went to bed...2:00am.
