- Hit the snooze button a couple of times and then got up and took a shower.
- Morning was typically: milk for the boys; dress Walker; change Caden; find myself some clothes; wake Scott up to bring Walker down to the bus; dry my hair and do my make up...while keeping Caden out of "trouble."
- 7:43: Going to try and get out of the house a few minutes early.
WORK
- 8:40: Got in EARLY! YAY FOR ME!!!
- Grabbed coffee and breakfast at the café and headed up stairs. Caught up with the project coordinator and my boss about my discussion with our intern about coming in another day during the week to start and work on signage projects.
- Reviewed a layout of a buckslip from a client.
- Chatted with a coworker about how can I upgrade from my Tiger OX at home to Leopard OX, but not Snow Leopard...is that possible. Looks like we're going to take a trip by the Apple Store to ask some questions.
- Laid out a certificate of thanks for a retired Trustee.
- 9:40: Archive some finished projects.
- 10:00: Rescheduled some meetings because of Wednesday's holiday
- Discussed printing/embossing techniques with the Design Team in reference to a fancy invite that our group is working on.
- Goofed-off for a few minutes.
- 10:45: Sent Women In Science program to print.
- 11:00: had a meeting with a print rep to discuss printing options for an upcoming invite.
- 12:05: Got back to my desk. Checked email. Opened some boxes that were delivered. Reviewed some sign proofs. Sent out the Trustee certificate to be printed.
- 12:30: Went to the Mall at lunch. Returned a item at Macy's. Stopped by the Apple store to ask a question about operating systems. Walked back to the Museum and got lunch in the café. Got back to the office and ate my chicken pot pie.
- 1:30: Back to work! Laid out a directional sign and sent it to print.
- 2:00: TIME LOG!!!!
- Consulted with the other designers on some Photoshop techniques for an image that is being used on an invite.
- 2:30: layout some last minute signs and send them to the client.
- 3:15: Coordinators weekly meeting.
- 3:45: prepped sign files to send to print and emailed them off to the vendor.
- Update time log and list.
AFTER WORK
- Got home about 10 past 5. My mother-in-law hadn't gotten to my house with the boys yet. Got inside and enjoyed a few minutes of quiet before they got home.
- 5:15: The boys came home. Walker has gotten a couple of Halo playsets and Caden got a chomping alligator. They also have Happy Meals. I settle them in the living room with their food and hop on the computer to make a blog posting. Though keep getting interrupted to go and rescue Walker's meal from Caden who always wants what others have.
- Changed into my PJs.
- Worked on blog posting, but had to take a break to open one of the toys that Walker got from his grandmother. Also Caden needed his diaper changed and then I settled him in the kitchen with a bottle of milk.
- 6:00: Posted Friday, October 23 entry.
- Noise from the kitchen, Caden dropped his bottle. He's finished. Release him from the high chair and let him play on the floor. Go back to the computer and then hear another sound. Go back into the kitchen to find that Caden has learned to open the cabinet doors and has started to pull out all the plastic bowls and storage containers. I was wondering when he'd discover those.
- 6:30: Posted Saturday, October 24 entry.
- Had to help Walker find an "alien" he lost...before Caden found it because it's WAY too little to be found by Caden.
- Picked up all the contents of the diaper bag off the living room floor...as Caden decided it would be fun to pull everything out of the bag.
- Put together the Candle Basket for Octoberfest...in between getting Caden out of trouble and doing things for Walker.
- 7:45: Put Caden to bed and going to try and do a quick Blog post before going back to basket making...
- Posted Parade Day.
- Set Walker up on the computer to watch cartoons.
- Back to baskets. Finished up the Candle Basket and started the Wizard's basket.
- 9:30: Scott got home. He put Walker to bed while finished the Wizard basket. He buzzed around the house packing his car with Fest stuff.
- 10:30: hmmmm....dinner? I take a break from the Adventurer's Basket to make dinner. Scott washed dishes.
- 11:15: Went into the living room to eat on the couch and watch the news...I knew I shouldn't leave the kitchen... After the news we put on the new episode of Clone Wars that aired on Wednesday that neither of had seen yet. I'm pretty sure I fell asleep before it was over...sigh.
